It just gets worse

I found out this month that Starting Over has been cancelled. Now I just found out that Dish Network will no longer be airing Court TV, due to contract negotiations. Dish Network states that Time Warner wants to increase the rate charged for this channel, and Dish (looking out for the best interest of its customers-yeah right) refuses to increase the rate. I can't believe this.

I guess this is my sign from up above that I need to start getting things in gear for school.

School time is getting closer

Wow, about five months left and I am plunging back into school. I have it seems a million little and big things to get completed:

1. get apartment
2. find nanny/caregiver
3. make arrangements for doggy boys
4. renew CPR certification by July
5. get a physical--make sure all shots up-to-date by June
6. find Micah a doctor while out of town
7. make hotel arrangements for trip to school in March
8. call cousins

I will update as I make my way through this To Do list.

I am heartbroken

I know I am late finding out this info, but I just found out that I will be searching forever for new episodes of Starting Over. You may ask why, if you are like me, unaware? The show has been cancelled. Now I can stop looking forward to the new episodes.

I verified the information on Rhonda's website-http://www.fearlessliving.org/blog/rhonda/27-08-2006 If you watched the show then of coarse you know who she is. For those that have no clue Rhonda Britten was a Life Coach on Starting Over. She was the creator of so many of the wonderful behavioral exercises that changed many of the women's lives and mine on the show.

If you did not get a chance to see this show it was a gem. I am sad to know that it is gone. Starting Over was my hour of therapy five days a week.

Feminine touch in power

Today the 110th Congress voted in the first woman Speaker of the House. As a woman myself interested in political issues and the issues woman face daily, I am very proud.

I feel that time was long overdue for America to invite the feminine touch into high power. Being a woman she already thought about the children inviting all present up to touch the Speaker's gavel. Awesome woman's touch-handling business, but still exhibiting a caring, thoughtful, nurturing nature.

Please do have a B.A.D. day

I received this email from a good friend and thought it would be nice to share it.

B.A.D.

While shopping at a local Wal-Mart, a woman spotted a man with an acronym on his shirt that had B.A.D. Being the person that she was (curious), she stopped the man and asked,"What does B.A.D. stand for?"And trust me; you'll be amazed at what his response was. He replied, B.A.D. stands for:

"Blessed And Delivered". That thought stuck with her as she finished doing her shopping that day. So she came up with a little advice for you today.

1. When the enemy tries to attack you, be B.A.D.
2. When things don't seem to be going right on your job, be B.A.D.
3. When things are not looking good in your marriage, be B.A.D.
4. When folks scandalize your name, just be B.A.D.

Get with somebody who you know that you can be B.A.D. with!!!

May God Bless You And Have A B.A.D. Day! Any man that can kneel before Christ can stand up to anything.

A childhood dream fulfilled

Today we purchased a piano. I am really excited about it, because I have wanted to continue lessons for a long time. I first started taking lessons when I was five years old living in Kentucky. We moved to Texas and some how I never took lessons again.

Well, now that I am grown I can continue my lessons, which has been a dream of mine for the longest time. Now I can even teach my husband and the baby to play. How exciting!

Bitter sweet

Well it is official, I am now deferred from school until May 2007. I am sad and excited all at the same time. The sadness comes because I really was looking forward to knocking out this year in my life so that I could continue on with my career climbing the ladder.

On the other hand, I am ecstatic because the deferment means that the baby is doing well. I am also facing the sheer fact that I will be a mother soon. Something I have always wanted. I am especially excited, because we thought we might not be able to have children. We were beginning to prepare ourselves mentally for the option of adoption. Now that's a blessing finding out to our surprise that I was pregnant.

No matter that my timeline did not work out perfectly as I planned it, I have no regrets. I know that I will still continue on with my career, and I hope and pray that I will be a good mommy.

Not enough time

I have this horrible overwhelming feeling that I just do not have enough time to accomplish all of the things that I need to do. My To Do List grows and grows, as I am supposed to be taking it easy because I am pregnant. Not to mention the things that are added due to people thinking I am bored and need something to do. Trust me I have plenty to do! Yeah right, I now understand the saying "A woman's work is never done".

The baby's nursery has no furniture, nothing on the walls, matter of fact I have not purchased one thing yet for the baby. How sad is that? Time still keeps on flying.

Hopefully my raging hormones will calm down leaving me to feel better. Right now I do not have a clue where to start on my To Do List, because I feel so overwhelmed. Oh, the pressure of becoming a new mom.

Allergies Suck

For the past week I have felt miserable due to allergies. Not being able to take anything useful because I am pregnant has made things worse. All I can take is Benedryl, which helps sometimes, but always leaves me feeling like I am in a fog. At least I can finally breathe again.

I can't believe I broke out because I used Vicks Vapor Rub. Can you believe that? I have this red very itchy rash everywhere I put it. Oh yeah, this would be the time I put it on my nose, above my lip, and all over my chest. I feel like a Hot Mess!

The baby is moving around more and more everyday. This seems to lift my spirits. I try to get the baby to respond to me tapping on my tummy, but no luck yet. Tapping seems to make the baby stop moving. I get so excited when I feel the movements (little tiny flutters). I feel bad for my husband because he can not experience it. All I can do is tell him about it, and try to let him feel my tummy. By then it is usually too late, and he misses all the movement.
